Professional upright bassist/vocalist, fly fisherman, itinerant intellectual, Indian-American, Sav Sankaran studied at Gettysburg College and Penn State. Asheville, NC. He toured both domestically and internationally from 2009 to 2012 with renowned bluegrass/Americana outfit The Dixie Bee-Liners, 2008 RMA's Bluegrass Artist of the Year. Sav has also played with groups such as Blue Moon Rising, The Last Complete Show, Sweetwater, Stumpwater, The Jon Stickley Trio, The Glimmer Grass Band, and many more. Sav relocated to Asheville, NC in 2009, and is one of its most in-demand bassists and vocalists.
