Tom Brown

In addition to playing with the slightly bent bluegrass band Spatial Effects, Tom Brown has written songs for stage productions and co-written several plays. He was selected for the IBMA Songwriter Showcase four times and has also been involved in the production of a handful recording projects. He is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Bluegrass and currently serves as the director of a non-profit medical clinic.

Laurelyn Dossett is a songwriter based in the North Carolina Piedmont. She has written the songs for six plays at Triad Stage, a song cycle “The Gathering” for the NC symphony and songs for the AMC series “Hell on Wheels.” Her songs have been covered widely, most notably by Levon Helm and the Carolina Chocolate Drops.
